Your doctor has chosen to apply OASIS® Wound Matrix to help manage your wound. OASIS® Wound Matrix is made of a naturally derived material (porcine or pig source) that provides an important structure for your wound. With the proper structure and environment, the body's natural healing process can begin. For best results, always follow all your doctor's directions.

Keep Dry


Keep the entire area surrounding your wound completely dry
at all times.

When bathing, keep your wound and dressings out of
the water.
 

Do Not Remove Dressings


Do not remove or change your wound dressings unless instructed by your doctor.

If you are instructed to change the dressings: only remove the outer dressings; do NOT remove the primary dressing (the layer immediately covering your wound) unless directed by your doctor.
 

Keep Scheduled Appointments


Keep all scheduled appointments with your doctor for reapplications and dressing changes.
 

  • If your leg has compression dressings, try to elevate when possible. Do NOT remove the compression dressings unless directed by your doctor

  • If you are instructed to moisten your wound during a dressing change: do NOT remove the primary dressing (the dressing directly over the OASIS® Wound Matrix to hold it in place). Instead, apply a wound gel or sterile saline to the outside of the primary dressing

  • This product is made from a porcine (pig) source and should not be used in patients with known sensitivity to porcine material.

  • Call your doctor if you experience any of the following with your wound:

  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Pus discharge
  • Blistering
  • Warmth
  • Pain
  • An allergic reaction
